The Grip is back! G.I. JOE, the world’s first action figure, is getting a grip this year with the re-introduction of the KUNG FU GRIP! First introduced in 1974, the KUNG FU GRIP is the ultimate action feature of G.I. JOE action figures that has become a pop culture phenomenon.

This year also marks the return of the G.I. JOE ADVENTURE TEAM with KUNG FU GRIP. In this popular series, first introduced in the 1970s, ADVENTURE TEAM members tackled fantastic and dangerous missions around the world. Whether wrestling a shark or searching for a Yeti in the arctic, nothing was impossible for the ADVENTURE TEAM with the full strength of their KUNG FU GRIP!

SNAKE EYES, one of the most popular G.I. JOE team members, will receive a technological makeover with new METAL MAYHEM, the ultimate mech suit featuring the KUNG FU GRIP.

The KUNG FU GRIP will also be introduced in the 8-inch scale figure lines in 2007.

G.I. JOE SIGMA 6 SAMURAI STORM SHADOW COBRA Ninja Figure: STORM SHADOW faces the most challenging combat of his life. The Shadow Master, a ronin (rogue) ninja, has emerged from the shadows with the ability to channel the powers of dead ninjas, making him virtually unstoppable. Even worse, the Shadow Master is on a quest to eliminate all ninjas, so STORM SHADOW, as one of the most powerful martial arts masters in the world, gears up in a super-strong samurai vest stocked with ninja gear. Even then, he may need the help of SNAKE EYES to defeat this deadly uber-ninja.

COBRA Mercenary Soldier: TOXIC ZARTAN Figure: ZARTAN is always looking for new weapons, and he’s not squeamish about where he finds them. Hazardous waste, to ZARTAN, was an untapped resource. He combined materials to create a toxic sludge that poisons on contact: one blast of it and you are infected with a substance that attacks you in a dozen different ways, all of them unpleasant. He is immune to it except for turning a sickly green color, which is a small price to pay for the opportunity to hit GI JOE with a nasty surprise.


GI JOE Law Enforcement Soldier: LOCKDOWN Figure: LOCKDOWN worked in several military law enforcement agencies before coming to the GI JOE team. He has superior knowledge of codes and procedures, plus extensive hands-on experience in capturing criminals. If a wrong is committed, LOCKDOWN slams the perpetrator – right into the slammer. He’s an expert with weapons and tactics used to smash his way into fortified buildings and strongholds in pursuit of his quarry, providing the GI JOE team with powerful support when they need to take down entrenched COBRA forces.
