I got a confession to make. out of the approx 360 DCD/DCU/Mattel figs I have, I don't have a flippen clue what the back story is to most of them!

i.e. The Drumer: the back of his card says something about talking to computers with drum sticks (i know bizzar right), but I just can't help my self. The more far out a fig is the more I want it.

So I realy don't care that I have no clue as to who most of these DCUC figs are. I just LIKE THEM!!! & that's good enough for me *big cheese smile*

That's how it is for me. I'm a huge DC fan, but mostly of just the main, well known characters. When it comes to the obscure ones, if they look cool I'll buy their figure, whether I know anything abut them or not. Sometimes a figure will actually get me interested in the character, like Deathstroke.

*on topic* i dont know if the sonic arm is worth me paying another 12-13 bucks.

I hear ya.

It seems like kind of an odd exclusive in that way. Usually exclusives are pretty substantial, and people feel the need to get it. But this one's just an extra arm, so if you get one, you probably won't feel as much need to get the other. At least Batman Beyond is more of a variant exclusive. Maybe they're counting on people going to KB to get their entire wave and thus they'll buy that Cyborg instead of the one they find in Target or Toys R Us.

im going for the one with the most weapons. im really excited about this wave...ares is too slick! wonder woman and BB are at the top of my list as well.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but I guess I figure it's a long wait between waves and I'm really into this line like no other so I can accept spending the cash for an extra sonic arm (crazy as it sounds). If Wave 5/6 shows up by Christmas though, my priority will shift to that though.

my priority is all of them!(except sonic arm) im glad that mattel decided to do this line......best thing that happend to my collection. @luv@

Yes, KB wants us to buy our entire wave from them, we know they will have them priced at $13.99-$14.99, based on their average mark up on new figures, so variants are what they have going on. I agree that the Terry McGinness variant will be the one that people will want, because $15 is a lot for an arm extension.

simply must have them all!!! now all I need is an Aisian demi god to drop his "Death Note" so I can kill all the F*** SCALPERS WHO STAND IN MY BLEEPING WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got a note book....and shinigami eyes. just call me KIRA, or God of the New World.(your choice.) HEART ATTACKS FOR ALL SCALPERS.....hehe.

.....cant wait for this wave.

heart attack huh. is that the best you can come up with. well then honey you just hand that note book over to MOTHERSUPREME & I'll take pen to paper & author a death scene for every scalper that would make even the most powerfull Dyclonious weep with envy!

But! more to the point, if my roommate wasn't one of these dirty scalpers then I wouldn't have half the DCUC figs that I got. & WHAT THE HELL IS MATTEL PULLING NOW! one of the figs in this wave are a Kay Bee exclusive?! Mattel is just looking for ways to piss of collectors!

heart attacks the best. just seeing a scalper clintching his piece of plastic gold as he stumbles down the toy department, confused and in pain, right before.......you know.

They do sell novelty deathnote at Japantown in SF, California

I am curious if anybody bought those in thinkin that they would work. LMAO

I personally can't wait for wave 4 because that puts us closer to all of the awesome figures planned in the future. The variants look good and the BAF's seem to only getting better. I do think that we need to see a Raven and Beast-Boy soon to go with Green Arrow and Black Canary so that I can put together a JLA and Teen Titans set that feels more complete.

I am right there with you, I am excited about which team I can complete first. It seems that Mattel is pushing the old Challenge of the Superfriends line-up first (which is what I want)but we still have a few characters to go. I want a modern Teen Titians set also and some villian sets too, not sure but maybe Mattel can beat Marvel Legends to a complete bad dudes set, though I think the brother hood of evil mutants maybe be available

This looks like a pretty good wave. I know nothing about Ares, but the figure looks cool, so I'll pick it up. Despero is the same way. I know nothing about him, but he looks pretty cool, too, so I might just get them all to get him.
