Have you even looked at the prototype images? it looks like the only articulation it will have is a waist twist, If anything. Looks like another statue. Of course if that is what you want, I'll put my foot in my mouth.

Yeah from what I have seen after really carefully looking over the pictures of the figure we see currently in promos, I am not particularity pleased with this articulation, looks like he doesn't even bend at the knees, no ab crunch , this thing looks like 5 poa, if that is the case, man that's lackluster, why would I bother shelling out the dough for this when I already have the old version of this, and the necroplasm one, and 5000 statue like figures from Mcfarlane, get outta here with the not giving this figure it's all in terms of articulation, Todd adores not giving the people what they want, he loves pretending to listen and then just lording over us with a ...nah lets just make only his head move to the side... nope, if indeed this is only a prototype and we will see more articulation , then I'm in.. if it's this I'm out

I'd like to see/hear something about scale and articulation from Todd himself before I bite.

Its an action figure. How much artculation it will have still remains unknown.

If we are basing it on the promo images, which I'm pretty sure we are. It looks like he might have a cut a the waist and maybe shoulders?

Hardly an action figure, more likely a action statue, pre-posed vanilla stance.

Late yesterday Todd McFarlane released one final teaser for his upcoming The Original SPAWN Action Figure & Comic Remastered figure which will be offered through a Kickstarter campaign that launches later today (4/8). He also hinted that one of the Kickstarter options will be an autograph versions of the figure. Stay-tuned later today for full details.

For those wondering, the statuesque future in the video is the figure he's updating, not the endresult that he's kickstarting. If you watched any of the videos from NYTF he's planning to notonly update the figure with full articulation but the cape as well. Hence the need for Kickstarter, because it will definitely be a deluxe figure much higher in price point than his mass market figures.

A violator is a must next action figure...or classic angela (however marvel got her now)

I will certainly support this, without a doubt, these figures are what I've been waiting for, if they truly are going to incorporate the new sensibilities of current collectible figures well then my dream has come true, Spawn Legends... yes and please, take my money todd even though you really don't need it

This is why I have no interest in supporting any kickstarter of his. I have no issue with scale he wants- 6" or 7", etc. but an action figure has to be articulated, and articulated well. Hasbro seems to get this, other kickstarters like Fourhorsemen's Mythic Legions andArticulated Icons get it, but McFarlane's debut with the "basic" figures here seems hit and miss (the armored versions were a lot better and I could excuse SOME of the limited articulation due to the bulk of the suits). The legs look weak, one has double jointed elbows while the other doesn't, head cant bend for flying pose, costume details are off, the butterfly joints are almost useless, and why does Superman have a trigger hand when he doesn't have a gun?? And WHAT is up with these ab/torso cuts?

Outside of the great paint applications, it just doesn't seem like a lot of care went into these. I also notice a lot of toy reviewers are giving this guy a lot of excuses (maybe because its fanboy love for McFarlane, maybe its free samples, who knows)saying its not that bad for the cost of the figures. Yet this guy has had his own toyline for decades now and should have it down by now. End of the day, if Im gonna invest in a project I have to be convinced its gonna be worth it.

I'm with ya, I have no interest in investing in McFarlane toys. The Mortal Kombat line so far is a joke. No ab articulation, the heads get no range. You are better off paying more for storm figures. The best figure I got and kept from McFarlane was the call of duty line.

Also, The image clearly shows McFarlane is updating a figure into a statue.. Nope, no thanks.
