Playmates Toys announced today that it will launch a complete organized play program for its popular new fast action collectible figure game. The company will enhance the Battle Dice web site (www.marvelbattledice.com) to include new features such as tournament sanctioning, tournament organizer registration, a calendar of tournaments, and player ratings & rankings. These services will be provided by the leader in hobby gaming tournament support, OrganizedPlay Corporation.

The new features will debut at the Game Manufacturer¹s Association Trade Show in Las Vegas beginning on March 13th. In addition to the enhanced web site, Playmates will also provide tournament support kits to participating retail stores. The kits will help retailers¹ host tournaments and demonstration events and will include special limited edition figures only available through the organized play program, an 11²x17² poster, a pamphlet with instructions on how to use the kit and set up tournaments, upcoming product release information, player ID cards and a poster of all of the figures from the initial releases and other Battle Dice accessories.

Battle Dice features a wide array of hugely popular superhero characters, which players load, roll and battle in the patented pop dice system. Marvel Heroes Battle Dice is available now and DC Comics Battle Dice will be launched in the fall.

Marvel Heroes Battle Dice features heroes and villains torn from the pages of Marvel Comics such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Daredevil and the Fantastic Four. DC Comics Battle Dice will spotlight dozens of characters as well including Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Joker and Wonder Woman.

Battle Dice is suitable for all ages, from six to sixty, and includes various levels of play from basic for beginners to the more strategy driven standard game. The game is available now at specialty hobby game stores, as well as mass market retailers.
