New episodes of The CW's Supergirl and The Flash don't premiere for another two months but two of the stars premiered their new costumes for the shows. Melissa Benoist revealed her new Supergirl costume on Instagram and Danielle Panabaker showed off her Killer Frost costume via Twitter.

The CW is attending the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con this week and both suits should be seen in the new preview trailers the studio releases.

I think Supergirl's suit might make more sense if this season, she decides to be more grown upand wants to becall "Superwoman" instead of Supergirl. I do think she seems a bit older in the photo, though that could be lighting and her hair style.

I mean, in most versions of Supergirl, she's a superheroine either duringherteens or very early 20's.If I recalled when the series 1st started back I Season 1, it was established that Kara was around 24 years old. So assuming that the events for each season takes place the same time frame as the viewers for each season, she would have to be getting closer to her late 20's by now. And while I've only seen 2 full episodes of this series back from Season 1, given from what I've heard has happened in this show and the stuff she has gone through, she's also had to deal with a lot of stuff, with the possibility of maturing as well.

While I'm more into a traditional look for Supergirl, I do think this costume is okay.

If it's because they want to change her suit for the sake of change(Especially for merchor promoreasons), then I do think it's okay, but I do think it would make more sense if it's due to her growth and maturing.

I dont think its for Merch reasons as there hardly is any Merch from this show to begin with

Didn't like the Supergirl costume one bit. Where is the iconic skirt?

Knowing this show, it's probably gonna turn out to be some ham-fisted "women's empowerment" political message.

Not crazy about the "upper-middle class businesswoman" hair-do either. I've been burned bad by the show's counterculture pontificating so I may be reading to much into this, but are they really trying to make Benoist less attractive?

The Killer Frost suit gets a heart-felt "meh" as well. Pointless overcoat and shades of gray color pallet? They won't let the 90s die will they?

Kara's new suit looks like something that takes a long time to put on.
