Legendary Toy Painter Ed Wires Passes Away

by Jay Cochran
August 12, 2010
We reported earlier today that legendary toy painter Ed Wires passed away yesterday due to unknown causes, and accidentally listed Mr. Wires as a sculptor in the title of our story as a opposed to a painter. We sincerely apologize for the typo and meant no disrespect to him, his friends or family. As we stated earlier in the actual article, Mr. Wires was considered a legend and friend by many in the toy industry, and we hear at TNI only wish to pass on our respects to him and all the things he accomplished.

He worked on many great lines such as Marvel Legends, Marvel Select, Star Trek (DST) and DC Direct and his talents will be sorely missed as will he. R.I.P Mr. Wires.
