Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Leading Licensees Set Playdate at Toy Fair 2004 with Wizards, Wrestlers, Heroes and More

BURBANK, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 12, 2004 Warner Bros. Consumer Products:
-- Properties from the Big Screen to the Small Screen Play to Win in Toy Line-up Based on "Harry Potter," "Looney Tunes," "DC Comics," "Mucha Lucha!," "Scooby-Doo," "The Powerpuff Girls," "Teen Titans" and More

Warner Bros. Consumer Products gets playtime started at New York Toy Fair 2004 with top toy manufacturers and dynamic licensed properties. From spell-casting wizards to out-of-the-ring wrestlers, caped crusaders to mystery-solving canines, toys based on "Harry Potter"(TM), "Looney Tunes"(TM), "DC Comics"(TM), "Mucha Lucha!"(TM), "Scooby-Doo"(TM), "Teen Titans"(TM), "The Powerpuff Girls"(TM) and others will take center stage February 15 through February 18, from some of the industry's foremost toy licensees.

"Scooby-Doo"

The Mystery Inc. gang gets a groovy treat from Mattel with Barbie(R) doll as Daphne, inspired by the upcoming live-action comedy adventure, "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed," hitting theaters on March 26, 2004. Equity Marketing introduces a new line of product based on everyone's favorite canine, including the new Scooby-Doo Snack Maker food toy, Radio Control Mystery Machine, "Glow in the Dark" Bedtime Scooby-Doo Plush and Transforming Micro Figure Playsets inspired by the film. Inkworks deals out dog-gone good fun with "Scooby-Doo" trading cards; and Pressman Toys scares up excitement with "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" board games and puzzles. Check out the game line-up from USAopoly this year, including Scooby-Doo Monopoly and Clue for specialty markets. Polyconcept USA dials consumers in to their line-up of "Scooby-Doo" clocks, radios and phones. Columbia Telecommunications detects "Scooby-Doo" fun with figural walkie-talkies, mini-radios and personal and digital assistants. FibreCraft creates arts and crafts activities for "Scooby-Doo"; and Trends International offers "Scooby-Doo" doodle art. There's no mystery in how consumers can look like they just stepped out of the Mystery Machine with Rubies Costumes line of "Scooby-Doo" costumes and accessories.

"Harry Potter"

Bringing a touch of magic to the show, Mattel conjures up exciting new "Harry Potter" products in anticipation of the third feature film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," scheduled for release on June 4, 2004. Key items include "Harry Potter" Championship Quidditch Game and "Harry Potter" Magic Powers Harry deluxe figure, as well as toys inspired by the upcoming film such as Rescue at Hogwarts Game and a "Harry Potter" Action Figure Assortment. LEGO works their wizardry at creating fun with "Harry Potter" construction sets based on the upcoming film, including the Knight Bus, Shrieking Shack and a new Hogwarts Castle, among others. Rubies Costumes creates spellbinding costumes and accessories for "Harry Potter" fans; and Fusion Toys will spark imaginations with "Harry Potter" novelty flying toys this year.

"Catwoman"

Pop culture is often defined by the entertainment world. Barbie(R) doll pays tribute to the comic-inspired vixen, "Catwoman," with a purr-trayal that will have no need to claw for attention. This summer, the hottest feline to scratch her way across the silver screen will be Halle Berry as "Catwoman." Look for the upcoming collector doll by Mattel in the likeness of Halle Berry's movie character, to be unveiled later this year.

"Mucha Lucha!"

Jakks Pacific, which was recently awarded the master toy license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products for "Mucha Lucha!," will be showcasing action figures, play sets and plush based on the hit animated series from Warner Bros. Animation, including "Mucha Lucha!" Mix A-Lot Figures, Signature Moves Figures, Slammin' Talkin' Plush and more. Crown Pacific will feature the masked wrestlers in fun new Pillow Buddies, and little wrestlers everywhere will have their action-wear needs covered with creative costumes and accessories from Rubies Costumes for "Mucha Lucha!."

"Teen Titans"

In Spring 2004, Bandai America will be introducing the long-anticipated, new "Teen Titans" action figures and vehicles, inspired by Warner Bros. Animation's new television series, which is based on DC Comics' characters. The core of Bandai's toy line will center on the main characters from the show in 3.5-inch form. These figures will be available individually with an assortment of weapons and accessories. "Comic Book Heroes" figures in the 1.5-inch scale will debut in packages of six. For kids who want to become the "Teen Titans" characters, Bandai will offer two role-play sets. Five-inch "Massive Feature" figures will also be available, each featuring a different sound or action feature such as transformation. Vehicles also make their way to toy shelves this Spring with the T-Vehicle Assortment, which contains a Turbo Mobile and T-Cycle with an articulated 3.5-inch figure. The Teen Titans Battling Machines capture the comical spirit of the TV show with transforming vehicles that resemble variations of common ride-on machines, such as a lawnmower. In Fall 2004, Bandai will release new figures with new vehicles and playsets based on designs from the show, including the T-Sub and Teen Titans Tower -- the headquarters of the crime fighting team. Little titans will be covered in superhero accessories and costumes from Rubies Costumes.

"Looney Tunes"

Fusion Toys will showcase the antics of the loveable "Looney Tunes" characters with novelty flying toys and solar-powered toys. USAopoly and the "Looney Tunes" take the bored out of board game with "Looney Tunes" Monopoly for specialty channels and "Looney Tunes" Chess. Tune in to Polyconcept USA at the show for a line-up of clock and shower radios, arts-and-crafts kits and fantastic phones for "Looney Tunes," and get connected to fun "Looney Tunes" personal digital assistants, figural walkie-talkies and mini-radios from Columbia Telecommunications. Trends International also gets consumers the line on "Looney Tunes" doodle art; Inkworks has the deal for kids and collectors in 2004 with "Looney Tunes" trading cards; and Rubies Costumes unveils "Looney Tunes" costumes and accessories.

"DC Comics"

Art Asylum builds excitement at the show with construction sets, figures, vehicles and environments based on "Justice League" and "Batman." Best Pals delivers a twist with Batman Six Flags Roller Coaster Construction toys, featuring roller coaster construction kits inspired by Six Flags Theme Parks rides. Fusion Toys will showcase "Justice League" flying toys. Inkworks powers-up with "Justice League" trading cards; and Trends International draws upon consumer interests to create "Justice League" doodle art. Mattel will introduce its Batman Action Figures inspired by the new animated "Batman" television series, "The Batman." Also back this year from Mattel is the "Justice League," with 13 new Justice League Action Figures and the deluxe Justice League Watchtower Playset, featuring lights, sounds and other special security features that lets kids play out their favorite scenes from the "Justice League" television series. For the girls, Barbie(R) as Batgirl doll, Barbie(R) as Supergirl doll and Barbie(R) as Wonder Woman doll will also be featured in a new Barbie(R) doll assortment. Finally, our superheroes are covered this year with creative costumes and accessories from Rubies Costumes for "Justice League" and "Batman."

"The Powerpuff Girls"

Rubies Costumes powers-up consumers with costumes and accessories for "The Powerpuff Girls"; Pressman Toys generates girl-powered puzzles and games; and Trends International draws in the crowds this year with doodle art for the pint-sized heroes that pack a punch. Master toy licensee Equity Marketing will launch a new line of toys based on the three super-powered sisters -- Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup -- including Pep Rally Bubbles Feature Plush, Triplets Doll Playsets in Bedtime & Hula themes and Dress Up and Play Dolls that feature rooted hair and soft interchangeable clothes.

"Samurai Jack"

Equity Marketing will launch a full line of toys that bring to life the epic adventures of the sword-wielding warrior "Samurai Jack." Products include a full assortment of articulated Basic & Deluxe Action Figures, a Battle Armor Horse Playset with working boulder catapults & spear launchers and the Battle Sounds Sword with kid-activated, sword-slashing sound effects.
