What is awesome about the book is a lot of people read Watchman remember where they were in the world when they first read it. It sort of legitimized a way of thinking for me that I thought was Awesome.

Comics represent being an intellectual, action and being more the the story than just the drawing.

The Watchman took a perceived gender and let it grow up.

When first asked to do movie, Snyder though it was crazy to do, but he went to the first movie meeting and realized that he could make this film if there was no BS about updating the movie to be a modern story.

He wanted people to come to Watchmen come, not Watchmen come to the people so they would see a cooler film that makes people think.

The movie was made from the get-go as an adult thing. R rated superhero movie - Adult movie.

We're not going to make a movie accessible to teens for marketing.

Movies right now are cool. With so many superhero movies that mainstream people see have a fairly typical nature. When WM come out and this will be something that will change their idea of a what a superhero movie can be.

Shooting of the movie is taking place in Vancouver. The New York City, Mars and Antarctica are being re-created on a back lot. If we could, we could to Mars.

Cast is perfect in Snyder’s opinion. They have real actors for this film. Not an exercise in marketing. So while there are no stars in it, they are real actors like in 300.

Cast is younger than in the graphic novel. Since there are a lot of flash backs in movie. Snyder didn’t want to have 2 actors for the same character. So he wanted to hire
actors in the middle of their age and "Age them up and down" depending on the scene.

Synder said “We're really interested in making a movie that is not bullshit and has real balls.”

My process is similar to what was used when we did 300. I work with script and graphic novel. I start with drawing the movie shot by shot. Movie was shot close to how the novel was visually presented. Most of the work was figuring how will they get those shots in the movie.
Wants to include the Pirate story in the movie. Its really cool and important to the story.
Zack presented 2 scripts to studio, one with Pirates. One without.

We all want to please Allen Moore, try to get the guy who created it to not hate it. Allen asked that his name not be on the movie.

We don't want to make the mistake that people think the movie knows better.

My deepest hope is that Allen more says that they didn't fuck it up that bad.

Our plan is to make the movie feel realistic than the comic. More like Seven. Alex Mcdowell production designer the wants it to be cool as I do.

The movie will include everyones back story.

Sally's poodle hair doo will prob be in the movie.
