2009 DC Stars From Tonner

Robert Tonner has long been a fan of the power and might of Super Heroes; each with its own fascinating story of heroic powers and secret identities. Introducing Tonner Character Figures™ (TCF™) based on classic superheroes appearing in DC COMICS. The new DELUXE DC STARS Collection, by award-winning designer, Robert Tonner, bursts onto the scene with POISON IVY, WONDER WOMAN and SUPERGIRL. DELUXE Tonner Character Figures™ are approximately 17” tall with multiple points of articulation for the most powerful poses; separately available wardrobes are also available.

Previous releases of FEMALE TCFs are app. 16" tall with multiple articulated joints for expressive movement and mobility. TCFs feature hand-detailed face painting, rooted hair; and authentic costuming. The MALE TCFs are app. 17" tall with 14 points of articulation, including a new forward/backward moving ribcage joint.

Those guys on the GLC board are brutal. Here's what I think. They're BOTH dolls. They're BOTH expensive. The DC version is macho though. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Hey, it's a great time to be a collector. Lots of fantastic choices. I just want to see the craftmansh... read more

If I had the money, and I mean a LOT of money, I might consider this line. I like the detail they put into the costumes, but as mentioned, the figures look... less than heroic. If Barbie were to have a Halloween Gala, this is what I would expect to see. The DCD line has much better sculpt. And molde... read more

Does anybody have photos of these figures stading side-by-side. I would love to see the comparison. I'm seriously thinking of getting the new Tonner WW. I'm not crazy about the price. Yet, if the quality is there, I would pay more. Especially if I'm going to make a purchase every 3-... read more

Phil, I can't believe you like Larvox. I hate that thing. It looks like a giant potato. How did that thing evolve? You just know it's prey on its homeworld. These figures look very nice. Still haven't bought one though. I'm sticking to the DC Direct 1/6 scale. That being said, I don't like the looks of the 1/6 scale Wonder Woman. The women in the DC Direct line look very odd. It's the legs and arms.
