Star Trek "Where No Man Has Gone Before" Lt. Sulu Mail-Away Figure Details

Star Trek: Jay Cochran - 2009.03.27

Diamond Select Toys will be offering this new Star Trek: The Original Series Lt. Sulu figure based on the characters appearance in the series' second pilot episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before." For those not up on their Star Trek history, Sulu started out in the sciense division of Starfleet wearing a blue shirt. He was some type of statatition if I remember correctly. By the next episode Sulu had moved to the command division and had become the ships helmsman which is the position we are all familiar with him having.

Diamond Select Toys has announced that you will be able to get this figure through a mail-away offer that will be included in the upcoming Star Trek: The Original Series season 1 Blu-Ray set that comes out on April 28, 2009 from Paramount Home Video. Check out images for the figure and DVD set below in our IMAGE GALLERY.

I never picked up the original series on dvd as I knew this release was coming! I can't wait to add it to my collection!!! The whole mail-away offer is pretty cool...
