TNI: Do you have prices for the '08 SDCC exclusives, and how many will be available for each one?

Mattel: Lobo = $25.00
King Grayskull = $30.00
Giganta = $20.00
Lightning McQueen = $15.00

Prices are subject to change as details have not been finalized. There will not be limits on any of the figures. (Although if someone wants to buy a large amount, like 10 cases, we might have to hold back on that… so limits are within “reason”).


TNI: It's great to see the MOTU line returning, but one question that comes to mind is what will be different this go around? How will this line succeed when the previous incarnation did not?

Mattel: The new line is entirely aimed at the adult collector. The previous (2002) line was tied into an animated series and was aimed at kids. Although adult collectors did enjoy the previous line, many were turned off by the repaints, character selection and action features which were aimed at a younger audience. This new line is not tied into any specific entertainment and will feature highly detailed, highly articulated figures of characters from all over the MOTU world – just what collectors have been asking for!


TNI: Will Mattel produce Speed Racer toys for the new animated series?

Mattel: Not at this time.


TNI: Will Mattel continue to produce "Cars" stuff for Cars 2?

Mattel: CARS 2 is too far off in the future for us to comment at this time.


TNI: What are the chances of seeing a "Hall Of Justice" playset released for the DC Infinite line?

Mattel: If and when we do playsets, the HOJ is at the top of our list.
