Mattel's own Toy Guru, Scott Neitlich has revealed over at the He-Man.org message boards that they will be reissuing their Master of the Universe King Greyskull figure which was originally released as a 2008 SDCC exclusive. No date has yet to be revealed on when we will see it re-released on Mattycollector.com, but Scott did go as far as to say the following changes would be made to the figure so it did differ some from the original exclusive:
He will be on a standard blister with minor tweaks - fixed shoulders, removable head, removable armor/cape, looser plastic on loincloth, fixed crotch piece and the weapons may be changed slightly. The deluxe talking box is what is no longer available.
Other tid-bits about the MOUTC line Scott revealed where that the Princess of Power character Scorpia would not be released as part of this line because she was a Filmation character and that the character Veena would be released sometime down the road:
When we get to Veena down the road she can have a 2 part dress/armor piece if that is the way the Horsemen go with her design.
Shown below is the original SDCC Exclusive King Greyskull figure.
