Product Backstory
Son of Zeus and a mortal mother, Kratos was once a promising young general in the Spartan army. He gained the recognition of his superiors for his violent and brutal tactics. For a time, he served Ares, the god of war, who delivered him from defeat in battle, but grew rebellious and resentful toward his master after Ares caused him to murder his own family. Kratos sets out on a mission to defeat Ares and take his place among the gods of Mount Olympus as the new God of War.
