McFarlane Unveils Club Exclusive Figure From Spawn Series 27

Spawn Series 27: The Art of Spawn will have a Collector's Club exclusive figure and it's a doozy. The limited-edition Club piece will be ... Hanging Spawn, based on the cover of Spawn issue #30.

Released in April 1995, Spawn #30 was called The Clan and detailed Spawn's trek through Klan country, where a local chapter is planning to kill the county's last remaining black family. Spawn traps the leader in the family's house and transforms him into a black man. When the rest of the Klan arrives, the costumed redneck finds out how it feels to be on the other end of the lynching rope.

The cover -- which this figure re-creates in stunning detail -- created by Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo, is representative of the issue 30 storyline and is a very popular piece of artwork among fans.

This exclusive Spawn figure will be released online concurrently with the retail release of Series 27 in late February. For more information and images on this exclusive, check out Spawn.com.
