March 19, 2008
WrestlingFigs.com recently had a discussion with Mattel and talked about how Mattel has taken over the WWE Wrestling figure lineup from Jakks Pacific. Below are some of the highlights from the chat.

The figures will be in scale with the original Jakks figures.

Jakks offered 400-500 figures to retail each year and Mattel is looking to deliver products as frequently if not more.

Mattel is working on the idea of vinyl style figures.

Mattel is looking to have new WWE figures on the retails shelves as soon as January 1st, 2010.

All PPV themed rings and accessories will be made.

The Four Horsemen will contribute somewhere in the line.

Mattel learned from the irregular case breakdowns from Masters of the Universe and looking to correct this issue with the WWE figures.

Everything for the WWE line will be 100% new sculpting and tooling.

Online exclusives are being planned.
