New York, NY (February 11, 2005) – Art Asylum announced today that is has been awarded the licensing rights to create a new line of Napster toy and collectible products. The products, inspired by music, fashion, and the famous Napster “kitty”, will be available in trend and specialty stores this fall.

The product line will include products such as: plush, urban vinyl, beanies, pvc figurines and electronic toys that exemplify the Napster attitude and lifestyle. “In addition to being a service that offers a unique and compelling music experience, Napster is also a lifestyle brand and a great way of extending that lifestyle is through consumer products. Our toy and collectible collection will build upon recent success with Napster branded products such as apparel, headwear, digital audio players, music storage, blank media and prepaid music download cards,” said Larry Linietsky, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Business Development for Napster.

“We’re extremely pleased to have the opportunity to work with this groundbreaking team of visionaries,” said Art Asylum’s, Adam Unger. “Napster started the digital music revolution, and we have a lot of respect for what they have done and continue to do in the new music world. We’re going to help them bring the world renowned Napster kitty into the 3-D world with a wide range of unique and innovative products.”

The license was brokered by Napster’s exclusive licensing agency, Brand Central LLC and will make its debut at the New York International Toy Fair in February.

About Art Asylum
Manhattan based Art Asylum was founded by Digger in 1996 as a creative studio providing premier work services to the toy industry. In 2000, this award winning studio joined forces with Play Along Toys and transformed itself into a fully functioning toy new force in the boy’s action toy business. This new company launched toys for popular licenses such as Star Trek, Tony Hawk, Eminem, Lord of the Rings and Batman. Currently still working with Play Along-Jakks as a licensor, the Napster license is the company’s first acquisition in their new venture.
