March 30, 2005 (SEATTLE) — A lucky MLB™ SportsClix player discovered a Master Piece Babe Ruth figure in Matteson, Illinois, on March 30th, 2005. Jim Wolfe discovered the figure, which is one of only 50 to be produced. Other copies of the meticulously painted Master Piece Babe Ruth figure, featuring the “Sultan of Swat” in his 1917 Boston Red Sox™ uniform, have sold to collectors for over $1,300.

Mr. Wolfe found the figure in a Booster Pack purchased from a Toys ‘R Us store in Matteson, Illinois. Toys ‘R Us has joined other stores to sell MLB SportsClix and become a place where baseball collectors like Wolfe can discover these rare and valuable sports collectibles.
