Over the last few years, the fairy tales of old have seen a resurgence in the mainstream, with familiar fables getting reinterpreted on TV, in the movies, and on the comic book page. One of the most successful comic books has been Zenescope Entertainment's Grimm Fairy Tales, which recently celebrated its 100th issue, and now Diamond Select Toys and Zenescope have teamed up on a line of Minimates mini-figures based on the title!

The first two Minimates in the line will make their debut at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, at the Zenescope booth, #2301. Minimates of Red Riding Hood and the fairy Dark Nissa will be on sale for $10 each, and each will come packaged in a small window box. Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation, and features fully interchangeable and customizable parts.
