Diamond Select Toys Secures Alien vs. Predator License
Upcoming Collectibles Make Fans the Big Winners of
Much-Anticipated Monster Match-Up
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC announced that it has secured the right to produce collectibles based on one of the most-anticipated monster melees in cinematic history – 20th Century Fox’s Alien vs. Predator!
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles will produce bookends, motion globes, plush toys, and wall sculptures based on characters and concepts found in the forthcoming film, which hits theaters on August 13.
“For more than two decades, the Alien and Predator films have proven immensely successful with moviegoers, garnering considerable consumer interest in the properties all over the world,” said Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles Marketing and Sales Coordinator Scott Braden. “It’s for that reason we’re creating high-quality collectibles based on Alien vs. Predator, because this long-awaited first meeting between these two iconic movie monsters deserves high-end collectibles that fans can treasure for years to come.”
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles’ first monster offering based on the film will be the Alien vs. Predator Eight-Inch Plush Toys, which are made out of 100% soft materials, and include cute-and-cuddly versions of the menacing Alien (which comes with the creature’s deadly second mouth), the battle-ready Predator, and the deadly Alien Queen. At the same time, the toy manufacturer is also offering the Alien vs. Predator
Previews Exclusive Alien Egg, which includes a plush version of the Alien’s deadly Facehugger.
“Although the tagline for Alien vs. Predator is ‘no matter who wins . . . we lose,’ collectors will soon discover that they’ll be the big winners with the high-quality Alien vs. Predator collectibles we have coming up in the near future,” Braden added. “Our upcoming releases based on the film are certain to scare up fun for collectors everywhere.”
