Toy Biz's Lord of the Rings Trilogy Haradrim Archer
Written by: Brandon Miller

Toy Biz's new Lord of the Rings Trilogy action figures are now hitting stores in full force. This is a series that repackages previous released figures with minor improvements or figures that was included in the Deluxe Horse Sets. The first LOTR Trilogy Return of the King figures series includes Aragorn, King of Gondor, Pippin in Armor, The Haradrim Archer, and Legolas in Rohan Armor. Here I will review the Haradrim Archer!

Accessories: This warrior includes three arrows, a bow, and a sword.

Articulation: Though not listed on the packaging, The Haradrim Archer figure is super poseable! He moves at the neck, ball jointed shoulders, cuts above the biceps, double jointed elbows, forearm twists, wrists pivots, hinged fingers, waist, ball jointed thighs, leg twists, double jointed knees, shins, ankles, and toes! Though his ankles are restricted due the sculpt and the ball jointed shoulders are very hard to move so it does limit some of the poses he can do but the figure does has thirty points of articulation!

Durability: As I said above, the figure has stiff shoulders and ankles which are a bit on the fragile side but other than this the Haradrim Archer figure is sturdy!

Packaging: The trilogy figures uses a new smaller package on small cards instead of the large ones and awesome looking flap packages. With smaller cards, this will make less room for detail which I am a bit disappointed at this because with the larger package real pictures of the characters from the films were on the front but with this new kind only mini stickers of the figure prototype in on the front. The story of the characters is still on the back however but it doesn't show what other figures are available to collect. The packaging will most likely appeal to collectors especially the ones who collect mint on card. Don't think I dislike it because I do think the new packaging is nice but I just prefer the original type.

Paint: The paint is good on this figure. Usually Toy Biz some times misses a spot or gets paint on the wrong thing but not here! The war paint on his face, the color of the outfit, and the color on his weapons look A-Okay!

Sculpting: The sculpting on the figure is great! Even though his face is covered mostly by a turban it still looks very real! The weapons look very realistic as well as I am impressed how the weapons and his insignia armor look like real bones or tusks from creatures of Middle Earth! The clothes also look good! I really can't say any else other than the Haradrim Archer looks excellent!

Overall: If you are a LOTR fan and/or collector this figure in My opinion is worth every penny! How could you go wrong with a figure that has a good amount of weapons, good paint job, tons of articulation, a great sculpt and being a LOTR villain? You can't! The Haradrim Archer will look awesome in your collection!
