Genius Products and Hasbro Properties Group to Create New Music for Leading Children's Brands MY LITTLE PONY and TONKA; Music CDs Set for Fall 2004 Retail Debut
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2004--Genius Products, Inc. (OTCBB:GNPI) has signed a licensing agreement with the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE:HAS), to create music inspired by two of Hasbro's most popular and enduring children's brands, MY LITTLE PONY and TONKA, it was announced by Klaus Moeller, CEO of Genius Products.
Working with the Hasbro Properties Group, Genius Products will develop a line of CDs for the MY LITTLE PONY and TONKA brands to be sold both individually and in multi-packs at retail beginning fall 2004. In addition to the music created by Genius Products, the CDs will also feature tunes from the MY LITTLE PONY and TONKA home video libraries.

Hasbro's MY LITTLE PONY brand was first introduced in 1983 and quickly became one of the most popular toys of the 1980s. In 2003, Hasbro successfully reintroduced the MY LITTLE PONY property as a lifestyle brand for little girls. Fans are now able to integrate the MY LITTLE PONY brand into many aspects of their lives through products like toys, storybooks, bedding, backpacks, footwear, accessories and more.
