Streets Of Rage Figures By GDX
This week's TNI Cool Custom, is of figures based on the old SEGA Streets of Rage video game by GDX
. Here is how GDX describes the making of these figures:
"I'm GDX, I've been doing customs for some time now, this my first custom here, so I figured I'd do something big. This has been a project that I've been working on off and on for the past year, just getting together pieces. They were all painted over three days.
It's the heroes of STREETS OF RAGE, the classic old school beat 'em up series from Sega.
The scales are a bit wonky…it was hard finding figures that worked for the characters, but were in scale with the others. Especially in the case of Skate (I guess he hit his growth spurt as a teenager, heh) , Roo, and Dr. Zan. Oh well!
I used a LOT of Figures to create this set...Here's the FULL Recipe List for those intersted:
WWE BnB Stone Cold Steve Austin (arms)
POC Quick Kick (legs)
ROC Storm Shadow (feet)
POC Jungle Duke (head modded)
POC Heavy Duty (head modded)
DVD Pack Roadblock (torso)
WWE BnB Mark Henry (arms)
Resolute Pack Duke (Legs)
MU Black Widow (Body modded)
ROC Baroness (feet and hair)
ROC Cover Girl (head)
Golden Compass Mrs Coulter (skirt)
DVD Roadblock (head modded)
25th Breaker (torso)
Star Wars Talon Kaarde (arms)
VvV Alpine (legs modded)
MU Red Hulk (whole body modded)
Pirates of the Caribbean Capt. Sao Feng (head modded)
ROC Doctor Rex (claws)
ROC Cobra Commander (legs)
ROC Delta 6 Suit (feet modded)
MU 2 Pack Cyclops (torso modded)
GI Joe Street Fighter Balrog (gloves)
Schleich Kangaroo (modded*)
* The figure had a joey sticking out of it's pouch so it had to be cut off **shivers**."

|Wow, those customs bring back so many fond memories of my brother and I playing Streets of Rage together back in the day. Excellent work, GDX! Would you consider doing some of the boss characters?
