2013 NYCC Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Series Panel Video

October 12, 2013
Today is the season 2 premiere of the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated Series and last night there was a panel here at the New York Comic Convention to kick things off.

On the panel were series voice actors Hoon Lee (Splinter), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo) and Rob Paulsen (Donatello).

Panel goers got a first look at the first episode of season two (which was awesome) and got some clues to plot points that will play out over the course of the second season like the Turtles doing some dimension hopping and even ending up in the 80's.

We also get a look at some new villains like Pizza Face and Tiger Claw. Check out a video of the panel (minus the screening of the season 2 episode) below. and be sure to catch the first episode of season 2 premiering today on Nickelodeon.

I gave it a shot on the Nick Toons app for the 360 and was stunned. I didn't like much that i had heard about the series but i can't deny it feels like the best of both worlds. It's not as dark as the 2K one which I prefer, but It's so well written and I think my son will appreciate this one much sooner than he would the 2k one. Consider me a former hater (well really skeptic ) converted to fan.

For how good this show is, I'm surprised at how little discussion there is for it here.

With Young Justice, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and now Beware The Batman all gone, I agree with the sentiment above that it's the best cartoon on TV.

I think its ok not sure what I think about the most recent twist with april though

I'm certainly not avoiding it, but it's not really appointment television for me either. If I come across it channel surfing I might give it a look.

Not sure I consider any cartoon "appointment television." I normally catch most toons On Demand when I have time, IMO though the TMNT cartoon is probably the best cartoon on-air right now.

i would agree with that, but i also consider the Legend of Kora to be just as good.

If you guys haven't checked it out already you should check our coverage of the TMNT panel from New York Comic con this past weekend. Lots of good clues dropped about what we can expect from season 2.

Isn't Casey Jones going to be introduced this season?

Saw the last part of it this morning. I really hope they patch things up with April and the guys. I don't want a situation were she is so upset with the turtles for mutating her father she would turn against them and hand them over to the Kraag.

I caught it a few days ago on the XBOX360 Nick app. Good stuff.

I want a Kraang-Ape toy with "butt-cannons."
