THR reported this week that Millennium is looking to reboot the Hellboy movie franchise. They are currently negotiating with producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin to bring back the chain-smoking demon to the big screen. Mike Richardson of Dark Horse Entertainment will also be attached to the project and Neil Marshall is said to be directing.

The working title for the film will be "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen", and the script is being worked on by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola who originally created the Hellboy character.

Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman who were involved with the original movies will not be involved with the reboot and it has been said that this new movie will have a much darker feel to it and likely will be rated R.
