3D Printed Custom Figure By Hauku

This week's TNI Cool Customs are of some 3D printed figure. These figure were done by Hauke. Here is how he describes the making of these figures:

ere are some simple 5 point articulation super hero action figures I recently made. The super hero guys are all owl themed. Then there is a deluxe police figure with two heads, pose able tonfas and a one wheeled scooter. I have two villains so far. The main bad guy is based on a rooster while the other one is a simple goon type figure. Although limited in articulation I still was able to get some fun poses out of them. All figures were 3D printed and painted by me.

Check out the images of his work below in our GALLERY.

These look amazing...do you have a backstory for them...

Thank you! I have a rough idea for the back story but I am still working on the details. Maybe one day I will make a comic book with them...

Here are some updates. I finished making smooth versions of all the characters now. I also slightly modified some of them. Last but not least I made a new character, the bombing squirrel.

I recently started using acetone to smooth my 3D printed figures. Here are some examples from the super hero line. It works quite well for these models. In some caes I used the reprint to slighlty update the designs as well.I also wanted to see how easily I could give my 5 point articulated figure a modern articulation without compromising the original design too much. So I made one of the main hero character. I am quite happy with the result. I especially like that the body segments move as if the owl would move its head and body.
