Here is a look at Hasbro's first wave of GIJoe 25th Anniversary Comic Book 2-packs. This first wave will include the following sets:

- Issue 1: Lady Doomsday (Scarlett & Hawk)
- Issue 21: Silent Interlude (Storm Shadow & Snake Eyes)
- Issue 24: The Comander Escapes (Duke & Cobra Commander)

The comic covers are being done by Ashley Wood and will pay tribute to the original Marvel Comics series the issues are based on. Look for these to be released in January 2008. Also starting with wave one you will be able to collect "Proof of Purchases" to send off for an exclusive 25th Anniversary Doc figure. You will need to obtain 6 "Proof of Purchases" to be able to get Doc.

Wave 2 will have a lot of new tooling. It was revealed at the 2007 Joe Con that one of the sets in wave 2 will include the Drednoks Ripper and Torch. Series 2 is set to come out sometime around April 2008.

Starting in wave 3, Larry Hama will be doing brand-new 22-page exclusive comics. At Joe Con they showed some art of two issues; one with Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow. The story will take place as a add-on to the original Marvel Comics "Silent Issue". Another one they showed was called "All about Fred".
