The official website for the G.I. Joe Convention has updated their website with a clue for their 3 3/4" figure collector set that will be offered at this years convention.
Our 2010 set features the return of the classic O-Ring style action figures. Our first exciting reveal is the mysterious COBRA INTERROGATOR. This unique and exclusive figure will have a brand new head sculpt that includes a removable helmet for the first time ever! Check out the figures filecard art below.
This years convention will be taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI April 29 - May 2, 2010. For those who don't know, Providence, RI is also the location of Hasbro's headquarters, the toy company responsible for making G.I.Joe toys.

While I'm excited to see the Red Shadows and Black Major, I feel slightly cheated by getting two army builders - one of which I don't recall ever hearing of before (Red Torches?). I don't keep up with all the GIJOE stuff. But if it's anything like what Hasbro does for Transformers figures at Bot-Con, I'll continue to not be interested. $300 for a set of figures is too crazy. I assume this will be a similar situation for a set GIJOE convention exclusives. |
