Adrianne Palicki Cast As Lady Jaye For G.I.Joe 2

Deadline reports that actress Adrianne Palicki (Friday Nights Lights) has been cast to play the role of Lady Jaye in the upcoming G.I.Joe 2 movie which is being directed by Jon M. Chu.

She will be joining confirmed cast members Channing Tatum (Duke), Ray Parks (Snake-Eyes), Byung Hun-lee (Storm Shadow) and Dwayne "The Rock) Johnson (Roadblock).

Other rumored casting for the movie includes Rapper-turned-actor D.J. Cotrona to play Flint and RZA to play a character known as the "Blind Master".

Adrianne Palicki was originaly going to play the DC Comics based super heroine Wonder Woman for a NBC television series this Fall until the show had the plug pulled on it.

The sequel is being written by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

G.I.Joe 2 is slated to hit theaters on August 10th, 2012.
