December 27, 2006
Following explosive growth during the past year and exceptional 2006 holiday sales among major retail chains, Jada Toys and its popular Chub City brand is poised to expand into the consumer electronics market. Chub City will formally debut its youth-oriented Wrist Mixers, Thumbdrivez, i-Playaz and Radio Control (R/C) vehicles at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), at the SANDS Convention Center booth # 69749 on January 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jada will also introduce an Optical Mouse and Flashlight Key Chains based on their top-selling die-cast models.

Chub City appeals to children 6-14 and creatively follows the adventures of six hip ambitious kids who live in a multi-ethnic, animated neighborhood all while cruising in the hottest rides that only Jada can provide (www.chubcity.com). The Chub City display will be located in the all-new “CE Just for Kids TechZone” which provides an opportunity for companies with products targeted toward this budding market to gain exposure.

One of the nation’s hottest-selling toy lines, Chub City introduced i-Playaz interactive players –character and car models – earlier this year to incredible response. Featuring sophisticated electronics and well coordinated movements, the Chub City i-Playaz connects to your CD or MP3 Player and dances to the rhythm of your favorite music and features interactive light and sound. Suggested retail prices range from $24.99 to $29.99.

Chub City’s 2.5 inch Thumbdrivez’ (SRP $4.99) will feature quality die-cast vehicles incorporating a handheld game. Models include the VW Microbus (skate game), Hummer H2 (Basketball), Mustang GT (Racing) and the Concept Camaro (Racing). The Wrist Mixer (SRP $9.99) showcases an interactive watch which allows the user to mix his/her own beats and record voices. Chub City R/C includes 4.5 inch and 9 inch models.

“This is Jada Toys first time exhibiting at the CES Convention. We are debuting our Toys Electronic Line, which includes many new and exciting gadgets as well as our Radio Control line that has been around for a few years. The CES Convention is the Super Bowl of Electronic conventions, so there is no better place to introduce us to the electronic world than the CES. We are confident that our new Toys Electronic Line will do well,” said Alan Tsao, Vice President of Marketing, Jada Toys, Inc.

Manufactured under the “Jada” brand, the company will also unveil an Optical Mouse based on the 2005 Mustang GT and 1959 VW Beetle and available in both wireless and tethered versions (SRP $9.99 - $19.99). The Key Chains feature built-in flashlights and several automobile brand/vehicle choices (SRP $4.99). Jada R/C products include 1:16 Nissan Titan and Hummer H2’s while the Concept Camaro will be available in 1:24 and 1:10 sizes.
