And EvilStar ain't buying that "These are for kids" line! Kids don't know what a Qwardian is or who Adam Strange is. Since when are kids down with cr@ppy looking figures anyway? It's like, "These are for kids so we don't have to really try too hard."

You know the funny thing about that? Growing up -- and even to this day -- I was a huge Ninja Turtles fan. Had my tshirts, my school bag, watched the 'toon religiously, everything. But when it came down to toys? I absolutely hated Playmates' TMNT figures because they weren't as articulated as my beloved G.I. Joes. Even He-Man, loved everything about it, but the figures? Nope. It was pretty much G.I. Joe and and Transformers because of their level of playability.

So that whole "kids don't care about articulation" jive some of the other guys on the board stick to doesn't fly.

i would also have to say that, as a child, i too hated some of the figs. five cut joints or not being able to make a fig do a side kick really sucked!, i hated "kenner" and their 5 cut joints, and i hated playmates figs(legs) but were still beating a dead horse.(i hate these figs....but what can we do?)

you guys are going to either buy them, or leave them......thats it. i dont like them...so, im not buying them. i really dont understand the point of this "back and forth" stuff. no matter what anyone says, its not going to change the way somebody feels about the fig. state your opinions....but know that its only an opinion, people are going to lke what they like.(IMO, they suck!!!!BIG)

Case in point; Black Adam, as I mentioned earlier. Let's take a look at his Toy Fair prototype, hmm?

Notice the detailed sculpting on his gauntlets and closed fists. Even his emblem looks like it may actually be raised off his chest. Now lets take a look and what we just saw last week...

How cute, head sculpt seems to look different along with sloppily painted bands around his monkey-hands. Well done, well done.

And no apologizes for the giant images, trying to drive home a point here

YO! Dude! That's a HUGE difference!!!!

Yeah. I remember seeing those first pics and being down for these figs. The fists are A LOT better than those huge cow milking paws. These new pics make this line look like Mexican knock-offs! Did something happen? Were those first prototypes too expensive to make? Dang, Dude! I see these things rotting till the hit the clearance isle. They're going to sit next to those stupid little two packs that Mattel makes now that no one ever buys.

Mattel, save your money NOW! Just stop this!!

Missing the point?

Aimed at children?

No, the point missed is that the unarticulated prototypes shown back at Toy Fair are actually of a superior quality than what we're seeing now. That's absolutely unacceptable for any manufacturer, period. The final product should be at least as good as the prototype if not better, certainly not two steps back.
