2012 SDCC Day 2 - Mattel DC Universe Panel

Fans of Mattel's popular DC toy lines will find out all the latest news, sneak peeks, and behind-the-scenes scoop on their favorite Mattel/ DC action figures, including the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises film, kid and collector releases from Batman, and more. Get a look at how a toy line is created, and participate in the Q&A with a special panel of Mattel toy team members.

They are handing out Batman tee shirts and figures to the crowd while they try and fix their computer. So stay tuned.

They are going to do a Q&A since they can't get their computer to work.

There really isn't much being said at this point. They are talking about the new Batman figures that turns into Manbats. Everything in this universe is amplified. Big proportions like big feet and fists.

They finally got the computer working.

Dark Knight - On shelf on 2012 Quicktech. Movie Masters, Batman, Bane, Catwoman that comes with a piece to build a search light. There will be 6 figures total. Catwoman has a variation with goggles up and down. Walmart will have a Gordan with a bat to shatter the bat single.

TRU will see some exclusive 3.75" figures for Dark Knight including a Joker figure.

Batpod, Tumbler and The Bat vehicles will be released at TRU and a Movie Master Batman 3-Pack, Batman Begins, Batman Returns and maskless Batman w/Cracked mask. Bruce Waynes head has some grey hair on this one. Its from DKR.

DCUC becomes DC Unlimited and there will also be a Batman Unlimited line.

Batman Unlimited 1st wave will see Batgirl, Penguin, Batman and DC Unlimited 1st wave will include Superman, Flash and Hawkman.

We will also see figures for the new DC Injustice video game coming in 2013fff

Mattel will be producing a line of figures based on the 60's Live action Batman series. They will be in 6" scale at retail for the fall of 2013. No announcement on what figures will be released yet.
