December 28, 2024
Back on December 19th Superman fans were finally treated to the first teaser trailer for the upcoming James Gunn directed Superman movie which will star David Corenswet and open in theaters on July 11, 2025. If you somehow missed it you can check it out below.

The trailer was so popular that it set a new record, with over 250 million views in the first 24 hours and the hype for this movie seems to be real.

So now that we have gotten the first trailer out of the way lets talk about the toys. I am sure between now and next July we will see a massive amount of licensed products released for this movie including toys and action figures from both McFarlane Toys and Spin Master. However today we are going to focus on some leaked listings that popped up online back in November from overseas distributors for upcoming McFarlane Toys stuff. At the time we didn't want to go into specifics about these listings due to the spoiler nature of them, but now that the trailer has been released which showed everything in these listings we feel we can go on and share them with you now. Of course as always with these type of listings, they have not yet been officially confirmed by McFarlane Toys and should be considered RUMOR at this time.

So here are the listings as follows and you can also see images from the trailer in our GALLERY with the corresponding characters.

- DC Theatrical Deluxe 7IN WV1 - Superman With Krypto (Superman Movie)

- DC Theatrical Deluxe 7IN WV1 - Lex Luthor With Baby Kaiju (Superman Movie)

- DC Theatrical Deluxe 7IN WV1 - Ultraman (Superman Movie) - Note this is the guy in black suit seen tackling Superman in the trailer. They show a better look at him in the theatrical release of the teaser trailer which differs a bit from the one released online.

Why can't they do a classic Black Mask? I am happy about the upcoming classic Scarecrow. Now how about Poison Ivy, Mad Hatter, & Ventriloquist w/ Scarface classic figures?

Did Max Shreck figure from BATMAN RETURNS get the axe? He appears to be MIA. Would still like to see a BATMAN BEGINS Ra's al Ghul, DARK KNIGHT RISES Talia al Ghul, BATMAN & ROBIN Bane, BATMAN '89 Joker, plus a Batman '66 Retro Mad Hatter before the McFarlane curtain comes down.

I have a genuine question regarding McFarlane stuff: Does anyone care about the trading cards they come with? I ask because he always includes them, but I never hear anything regarding the cards. They just kind of exist.

When I've sold a few loose McFarlanes on eBay, I am always asked whether I have the card. So some people care about them.

They aren't great. For example, the Supergirl WoT card has the same bio text as the Injustice Supergirl card, which makes no sense as they are completely different characters.

Classic Batgirl and Scarecrow are very intriguing.

also, 66 Batmobile! Man, I wish they hadn't seemingly stopped including figures with the Batmobiles, or else I'd be certain it's coming with Burt Ward Robin! Classic Scarcrow sounds awesome too! I hope that Spectre coming with Atom Smasher is the same one from the COIE wave, with maybe a wired cloth cape, I'm still kicking myself for missing that one. I haven't read Zero Hour yet, so I don't know if the hyphen in "Super-Man" is a mistake or a specific version from that story. I'm also curious about what Crisis On Infinite Earths will be like. Isn't he, like, in only a page or two of that? Seems like a very odd choice to represent that story

There's potentially some great stuff there!

Doctor Mid-Nite, for sure. I hope they do a totally different version of the character as the chase. The Failsafe robot megafigure could be awesome. Hopefully it's not using the Final Suit megafig model. Classic versions of Batgirl and Scarecrow sound promising.

They're finally doing Black Mask and they choose to do him as Batman? Like they did with Hugo? I'm not crazy about that idea.

I'll definitely be buying Raiden and Reptile.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of these.

If I can't get Hush Riddler or Classic Batgirl, that'll be my villain origin

I'm really curious what body buck McFarlane will use for Eradicator. My original thought would be the Infected buck (since it was used for the Shock Wave version). But he seems to have fallen in love with the Earth 2 buck and I'm wondering if that's what will be used instead.

Yeah, I figure that's the most likely option, but I'm still holding out hope

I'm actually surprised it already hasn't been made as a repaint of the Conner Kent Teen Titans figure.
