I was very hesitant when I first sawsoft goodscoat, however, it does look pretty good in review and also somewhat accurate to the movie look. Good paint job really would have madethat head-sculpt look next level.

That looks pretty good, I like it a lot, I'm not sure about the coat but the rest looks very nice. I may have to pick this up just for my love of the Burton Batman films.

I really like this Penquin figure Mattel has stepped up their game, I thought that the Wonder Woman Lynda Carter figure turned out well and this looks to be no different. Looking forward to this and the upcoming Joker figures!

I totally agree with everyone Mattel just sat on their old achievements and never really evolved, Im sure it had little to do with the people working on the DC licence and more to do with the higher ups within Mattel, they did start to make a change lately but when you compare it to Hasbro (in particular Marvel Legends) its like your looking at an ML figure from 2012 (back when hasbro restarted the line), with recurring QC issues, bad paint apps, very basic paint (almost none),weird head sculpts, older articulations, and in their regular multiverse line a lot and I mean A LOT of reuse molds, Mattel as some of you pointed out is a little late too late with their changes, I have a theory that Mattel knew they were going to loose the line soon and just put the minimal effort in the last couple years to try to milk the cow the last time cause the upgrades dont seem like they really meant much, more like lets just upgrade the figures as little as we can to sell some figures before we loose the licence, I dont really think the higher ups in Mattel really cared to keep the collectors end of the licence hence why when it was time for the bidding they just let it go and kept the kid part of the licence which seems to be their focus. Hopefully Mcfarlane can do good things with this licence.

Thanks for the review, I also have a great love of all the Batman movies, including Forever and "And Robin." The Burton movies are still my favorites so more than likely this will be a pick up for me, despite the problems with Mattel. The sentiment that Mattel has made improvements on their Multiverse line but is still nowhere near Marvel Legends is accurate in my opinion. I bought the Batman Beyond and Gaslight Batman figures recently mainly because of my love of those characters, and they still have problems that yes, should have been corrected long ago. The paint on both is sloppy but because I had to buy them online (I haven't seen new Multiverse in my local stores since waylast year sometime) returning them for exchanges was going to be too much of a hassle so I just accepted it as "good enough." That really is why I'm not sad Mattel is losing DC, and I am glad to see what Toddy Mc is going to produce, I feel like they'll want to start strong and show everyone what they can do. In the meantime, yeah, I'll probably pick up Pengy here despite it not being really what I'd like.

I'm super-gluing that jacket onto his back the second I open the figure, because if not I guarentee i will lose it within a month, lol.

Mattel has made some improvements but the figures still really aren't on par with Marvel Legends and definitely think it's time for another company to get a crack at DC figures.

Which is fine, I agree. But Mattel's figures are in (almost) perfect scale with ML figures which I why I always buy those over DC Collectibles. I'm terrified once McFarlane gets them everything is going to be in 7inch scale.

Mattel really has improved tremendously over the last year and a half, but they should have course corrected long ago so I understand DC wanting to explore other options.

I don't love it, but he does look very decent. Damn shame they're going to lose the license before they can probably put out a Catwoman figure. One from Todd might have a better paint job, but I am not loving what they've been doing with wrists on the GOT and Fortnite figures.
