The Ninja Batman Collect-And-Connect wave by Mattel is part of their DC Multiverse line. It features the following figures in approx 6.5" scale;

- Starfire
- Beast Boy
- Black Lightning (DCTV)
- Nightwing
- Green Lantern (John Stewart)
- The Flash (Wally West)

Each figure comes with a segment of the Ninja Batman based on the hit animated movie by DC.

STARFIRE
A beautifully sculpted figure particularly with her hair, she is the standout in the wave for me. Vibrant colors blend with great details.

ARTICULATION: She has single jointed elbows with elbow rotation, chest rotation, double jointed knees, thigh pivots, hip articulations, front to back ankle articulation, the head has rotation side to side and front to back and is not impacted by the hair sculpt in any way.

ACCESSORIES: Starfire comes with the cape and head sculpt for Ninja Batman along with two cosmic power effects which sit comfortably over her hands.

NIGHTWING
Another well sculpted and painted figure. The head and hair particularly is done to a high standard with lovely shades of blue added to the hair. The body paint blends a matte black with a glossy blue and there is good articulation throughout.

ARTICULATION: Nightwing features shoulder articulation and rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, chest articulation, hip swivel, hip joints, upper thigh rotation, double jointed knees, ankle joints and head rotation.

ACCESSORIES: Nightwing comes with two batons, two extra hands plus the right leg for the Ninja Batman.

BEAST BOY
Adding another member to the Teen Titans Roster, Beast boy yet again boasts vibrant, well applied paint jobs with a superb sculpt. His head features wild green hair AND sideburns, with his forearms and shins feature additional green fur! His default expression is a cheeky smirk and brilliantly captures the character. The green skin is married up again a red and white outfit which has a clear separation from skin to clothing with a smart upturned collar.

ARTICULATION: Head rotation and pivots, shoulder joints plus rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, articulation, hip swivel, hip joints, upper thigh pivots, double jointed knees, ankle joints.

ACCESSORIES: Beast Boy comes with two extra hands, sword and sheath for Nijna Batman plus his left arm with additional hand.

BLACK LIGHTNING

Based on the CW Television series, the Black Lightning figure does a sound job of capturing Jefferson Pierce. The sculpt in particular has a lot of nice little details worked into the character's suit. Rather than simply painting many of the details, they are individually sculpted into the body which gives far greater depth and aesthetic quality. The paint job however is also done to high standard working in subtle shades of blue and black to create an appealing finish.

ARTICULATION: Head rotation and pivots, shoulder joints plus rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, articulation, hip swivel, hip joints, upper thigh pivots, double jointed knees, ankle joints

ACCESSORIES: Two extra hands with lightning effects, two more standard extra hands, Ninja Batman's left leg.

THE FLASH (WALLY WEST)
Long time DC collectors will know how few good Wally West figures are out there so this is one I was particularly excited for. The figure does not disappoint. A confident expression captures Wally's bold character with the bright orange hair bringing him to light, sculpted neatly over his head mask. The paint job is well applied with two different shades of red blending throughout the suit, mixed with silver lightning effects.

ARTICULATION: Head rotation and pivots, shoulder joints plus rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, articulation, hip swivel, hip joints, upper thigh pivots, double jointed knees, ankle joints

ACCESSORIES: Two extra hands with silver lightning bolt effects which wrap around the forearms, Nijna Batman's right arm with extra hand

GREEN LANTERN (JOHN STEWART)
Utilizing the same body as the Wally West figure previously mentioned, John has a stern facial expression which does a good job and conveying this well disciplined ex marine. Showcasing the more classic buzz-cut hair-do. The paint job blends a solid black which a much-needed glossy green to really capture that all important colour and help it stand out. A solid if not slightly unspectacular figure..

ARTICULATION: SAME BODY AS WALLY WEST - Head rotation and pivots, shoulder joints plus rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, articulation, hip swivel, hip joints, upper thigh pivots, double jointed knees, ankle joints

ACCESSORIES: One extra left hand, one right hand with ring finger glowing effect, Ninja Batman torso and upper legs.

NINJA BATMAN Collect-And-Connect
I have saved the best until last here. For a build a figure this guy is a beast. Tremendous little details, superb paint job, excellent sculpt, great articulation and smart accessory. The body of the figure is the stand out here with a BEAUTIFULLY sculpted armour with stunning gold paint mixed with a subtle grey/blue. The individual gold rivets on the armour is a fantastic touch and you will find raised golden armour effects all along the figure, as opposed to just being painted on. the warrior skirt particularly stands out with the fantastic golden effects highly noticeable. The cape is brilliantly sculpted particularly along the bottom with unique flares adding a real sense of drama to the figure

ARTICULATION: Head rotation and pivots, shoulder joints plus rotation, upper arm rotation, single jointed elbows, wrist joints, articulation, hip joints, upper thigh pivots, double jointed knees, ankle joints.

ACCESSORIES: Two extra hands, sword and sheath

I like the Black Lightning figure, but only because this is likely the only time we will get a DCTV version.

Nice pics! Good looking wave overall. Favorite here would be Nightwing, Starfire and Black Lighting are nice to. The C&C figure Ninja Batman is ok, not the highlight for me in this wave.

Not a bad wave. The biggest issue is starfires small feet.

Thanks, the other figures all look great, but I still say they didn't make Black Lightning right. And he's got his own show for crying out loud. I call a Mulligan on this one. PLEASE!
