Mezco has up for pre-order their exclusive One:12 Collective Michael Keaton Batman figure which to our pleasant surprise has remained in stock for almost 2 hours now. Click here if you want to grab one for yourself.

“I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me.”

Based on Tim Burton’s Academy Award winning film “Batman”, the Caped Crusader joins the One:12 Collective.

The One:12 Collective Batman – 1989 Edition features an all-new seamless body designed with an internal skeleton armature that is durable yet highly posable. Included are three cowled head portraits – one with movable eyes, achieving a new level of realism for the One:12 Collective.

Batman is outfitted in his iconic Batsuit from the film which features advanced body armor – strong enough to deflect bullets and break fists. A magnet in his collar allows him to switch between two leather-like capes – one with an integrated posing wire and one that drapes freely. The bat insignia sits front and center as a reminder to those that cross his path.

The dark vigilante comes prepared to protect Gotham City with a vast array of film accessories, as well as some unused designs, including: a gauntlet that attaches to his forearm and rotates open, a speargun that attaches to his utility belt via a magnet, multiple batarangs, and a time bomb.

After witnessing the senseless murder of his parents at the hands of a criminal, Bruce Wayne becomes Batman to rid Gotham City of crime and corruption.

I finally got my figure today. Ten minutes into trying to move the legs according to the instructions, one of the legs broke. Now it's longer than the other and flops down whenever I try to raise it. This whole experience has been a nightmare - from the ludicrously long preorder time, to the incorrect information and lack of communication about "failed" payment, to getting the figure in hand and experiencing its atrocious quality. I'm returning my figure and then saving my money for the inevitable Mafex attempt at Batman 1989.

So, I signed up for the waiting list. Should I cancel it?

Is the figure that bad?

I'm sure reviews will be out in a week or 2. And if you want a high end version of bat keaton I'm sure mafex will make an awesome one. I'm settling for mcfarlanes version as a stand in then waiting for a mafex or sh figurarts version.

What a mess....3 years for a horrible figure that might disintegrate unless it has white powder on it but you can wipe it off with water lol...smh...gotta hand it to "MESSco" for making the figure go down in history as the most infamous figure for having the longest production time with the most disappointing results!

Mezco has issued guidance in preventing damage to their One:12 Collective 89 Michael Keaton Batman figure in regards to powder coating and armiture and articulation. See the statement below.

Still waiting for mine to ship. It shows processing for the last few weeks, and they already took my money! Contacted mezco by email with little to no help. Not sure if I will ever purchase anything from mezco again. This whole pre order process, ect. has been a miserable experience!

Their products are frequently great, but ordering direct from them is not ideal. Whenever possible, it's best to order from BBTS or EE. If it's a Mezco exclusive, in that case, people are going to have to ask themselves how badly they want it, because the delays and cs situation don't seem like anything that will ever get better.

The eyes are supposed to be movable together, though, right? So if they don't both point the same direction, how do you fix that?

If they would ship faster I'd be able to answer that question. I'm hoping it's like my MAFEX Harley Quinn where you can move both individually.

Yeah the bent ear is a bummer. I don't see the dust and think they just sprayed some kind of overspray idk. As for the eyes......they're movable so really shouldn't be an issue. If mine isn't what I wanted....I'll hold onto it for a year or so and most likely make my money back.

I don't know what's worse here: the wonky eye, the bent "ear," or the massive amount of dust sticking to the body (which seems to be endemic to the lot). I'd be really pissed if I spent $110 bucks and waited three years just to get this ****ing thing.
