Mattel's 2005 Summer Convention Exclusive Figures

Mattel is unveiling a Catwoman collector figure from "The Batman" for Comicon & Wizard World 2005! Catwoman is in a bank vault surrounded by infra-red beams, whip handy, and she's stealing an idol! But what idol is she stealing? Her personal favorite, jade, or is it black with piercing red eyes? Or, could it be...?! There's only one way to find out - see you at Comicon and Wizard World 2005! Idols may vary...

These will be sold for $20 each.


Also we know that not everyone can attend the conventions, so we asked the folks at Mattel if this would be the only way people could get Catwoman for their "The Batman" collections? They tell us their will be a Catwoman figure released to general retail sometime in August/September 05. This figure should be a different figure all together.

So there you have it, collectors who attend the conventions should be able to obtain a unique figure for their collection, while those who cannot attend will still have the opportunity to obtain a Catwoman figure for their collection as well.

Thats not all though. Mattel also has a second Batman figure being offered at this summer's conventions. This one is related to their Batman Begins line.




Inspired by the motion picture, "Batman Begins," this special Batman action figure captures a "pre-suit" Bruce Wayne as he prepares to don the legendary Dark Knight gear. Batman utilizes a Kevlar utility harness, a NOMEX survival suit for advanced infantry and a gas powered magnetic grapnel, among other gear. Peer through the lens of a cowl-shaped front window or a bat-shaped moon roof to see the accessories that come with this figure. If you're lucky, you might secure a chaser figure of Bruce Wayne in the suit.
