2006 should see the return of 6" Batman & Superman figures to general retail with the launch of Mattel's new DC Superheroes line. Sculpted by the Four Horsemen these figures will be based on Batman and Superman characters, as they appeared in the comics, much like Mattel's previous comic-based Batman line. However this time around the figures will contain more articulation then ever before. Look for the first wave to be released sometime in January 2006.

Wave one is slated to include:
Batman, Bane, Scarecrow & Killer Croc (with new head sculpt).

Wave two is slated to include:
Superman, Bizarro, Doomsday & Supergirl (Kara In-Ze - white shirt version).
Wave three will be another bat-themed assortment and should include
Azrael.
