DC HeroClix Spectre
DC HeroClix is a game of super powered comic book battles, and few comic book characters can claim the sheer might of the Spectre, the Spirit of Vengeance! This incredible character makes his HeroClix debut as the most massive HeroClix figure ever made!
Standing almost fourteen inches tall, the Spirit of Vengeance will dominate any HeroClix game – or any comic book memorabilia collection! Exquisitely sculpted and expertly painted, the Spectre stands amid a cloud of tortured, angry spirits, and looms over all other HeroClix figures!
The Spectre may be played as a cooperative or competitive scenario, or as part of a force. The Spectre appears on the battlefield at three different power levels: former Green Lantern Corps member Hal Jordan as a Mystic; the original Spirit of Vengeance Jim Corrigan, member of the JSA; and the ultimately-powerful Spirit of Vengeance version with the all-new Quintessence team ability!
Spectre can also be played as a scenario, where heroes and villains must battle both the Spirit of Vengeance and his army of Angry Spirits for the right to keep their very souls! The scenario utilizes the Spectre’s fourth dial and allows him to unleash Angry Spirit tokens across the battlefield, making this scenario a challenge for even the most experienced HeroClix players!
The Spectre will be available at some WizKids-attended conventions in 2006. Fewer than 5000 Spectres were produced for sale, making this an extremely limited and collectable figure; a certain number will be set aside for each convention where the Spectre will be available, and WizKids will hold a raffle each day for the opportunity to purchase the Spectre.
Additionally, customers who purchase $100 worth of WizKids products in the WizKids booth at WizKids-attended conventions in 2006 will receive a free,
Limited Edition Parallax figure, while supplies last! The perfect compliment to the Summer of the Spectre, Parallax is Hal Jordan fallen from grace, and one of the most powerful single-base HeroClix figures ever. Weighing in at a whopping 270 points, Parallax can crush opponents left and right. His power in gameplay and his beautiful, one-of-a-kind sculpt will make Parallax a great addition to any HeroClix (or comic) collection!
MechWarrior - Jonah Levin and his Atlas "Solitude"
MechWarrior: Dark Age fans already know him and love him, and now he returns in his new capacity as exarch of The Republic of the Sphere! This convention season will see the return of Jonah Levin and his Atlas, “Solitude,” though Solitude, like its pilot, will be sporting a new look.
A far cry from its Dark Age version, the Age of Destruction Atlas returns to its roots. The Atlas AS7-D-A bears some physical characteristics of House Davion: heavy-looking armor plates, a more angular appearance, and a dense design. Even so, with a Republic paint scheme that harkens back to Levin’s days as a paladin, it falls right into place in any Republic battleforce.
This Solitude is comparable to its Dark Age incarnation, weighing in at 300 points and dealing some bruising damage of 4 or 5, depending on which damage value you use. Five clicks of Hardened Armor adorn its dial, followed by four clicks of Heavy Armor and augmented by Command for its first three clicks. Add in Exarch Jonah Levin, and the attack value of this unit can reach as high as 14 by virtue of Levin’s pilot ability, “Stone’s Fury.”
Exarch Jonah Levin and Solitude will be available at the 2006 San Diego Comic Con, free to customers who purchase $75 worth of WizKids products in the WizKids booth.
Battlestar Galactica CCG Convention Exclusive
Battlestar Galactica CCG convention exclusives that will be available during the 2006 convention season!
Convention attendees will find a special bonus in their bags when they check out at the WizKids booth. WizKids is pleased to provide, free with any purchase, an exclusive Battlestar Galactica CCG card: Colonial Viper 614. This is a strong fighter that comes out early to protect your fleet. The resource it provides—Logistics—is the most widely used resource, so this card makes a good asset played to your resource area in a pinch. Its 2 power is solid for an early-game unit, and against a deck that has no ships to defend, it will bring your opponent down in short order. Best yet, it’s free with any purchase at the WizKids booth!
If you have the cards, of course, you’ll need something to keep them in. WizKids is pleased to provide the first-ever Battlestar Galactica deck tin. This metal box contains stunning imagery from the show and is the perfect size to hold sleeved or unsleeved cards. When the cards are not in their sleeves, the box can hold 175 cards laying down. When sleeved, the cards stand on their edges. The deck tin can hold a 60-card deck with room to spare.
This exclusive deck tin is available to consumers who purchase $25 or more at the WizKids booth at select conventions.
