The War Continues

August 19, 2003 - THE WAR WITHIN, the story that tells it all from the very beginning, is a title formed by mega creative incubators Dreamwave Productions and the legendary Simon Furman. Before ARMADA, before the BEAST WARS, even before GENERATION 1 there was...THE WAR WITHIN, The Great War between the AUTOBOTS and the DECEPTICONS.

THE WAR WITHIN V.2 THE DARK AGES is the highly anticipated sequel to the enormously successful THE WAR WITHIN! Renowned Transformers writer Simon Furman continues to grip us with this long-awaited action-packed sequel. The bots are now larger and more powerful as artist Andrew Wildman pencils them larger-than-life!

Simon Furman has had a long history with Transformers but has always had a special interest in the world of Cybertron "I thought that there is a whole wealth of stories to tell which sets up a kind of bedrock for their new, slightly realigned universe."

Pat Lee, President of Dreamwave Productions says "The War Within V.2 The Dark Ages is going to be an extremely exciting book with new designs by myself and Don Figueroa. It was crucial for us to make Transformers fans feel that they are going to be part of a great historical event in the Transformers timeline and bring them a story that has never been told before." Andrew Wildman's ('GI Joe', 'X-Men Adventures', 'The Hulk', 'Spider-Man', 'Fantastic Four Unplugged') work with Transformers is most recognized by his ability to make them come to life with human qualities and expressions. Lee expresses "It's really exciting to bring back the team of Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman, they are best suited for this project and I can't wait to see it hit the shelves!"

TRANSFORMERS: THE WAR WITHIN Part 2 #1 is set to hit comic book retailers this October 2003, marking the first series' anniversary."
