Available for pre-order is Gentle Giant’s Lord of the Rings Animated Gimli Maquette. Brought to you by the fantastical minds of Gentle Giant studios, this animated depiction of the fierce but stout-hearted warrior dwarf will fit in perfectly with the rest of the cool animated Lord of the Rings maquettes. In fact, this base of this piece is designed to inter-link with Gentle Giant’s upcoming Legolas maquette. The maquette comes beautifully painted and ready for display.

And speaking of maquettes, we have the good fortune of stumbling across a few of Gentle Giant’s Star Wars Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker Maquettes. Based on Anakin Skywalker as he appeared in the Cartoon Network’s Clone Wars series, this 8” tall piece will fit in perfectly with the rest of the Clone Wars maquettes, including Yoda, General Kenobi, Padme Amidala and Asajj Ventress. Most of the maquettes in this series are exceedingly hard to find and have increased astronomically in value, so take advantage of this opportunity to pick up Anakin before he’s all gone!

Available now is Electric Tiki’s Flash Gordon Statue. Designed by Electric Tiki founder Tracy Mark Lee and sculpted by the legendary Ruben Procopio, this statue is in 1:6 scale and stands about 12” tall. This is the third statue in Electric Tiki’s Classic Heroes collection, so be sure to check out the others. This piece is meticulously sculpted and features a retro sci-fi base to match Flash’s retro costume. It’s cast in polystone and beautifully painted. And with the new Flash Gordon television series currently filming in Vancouver, interest in this statue is bound to increase substantially.

And finally, indulge yourself with WETA Originals Rayguns:FMOM Industries Wave Disruptor Gun. Scheduled for release in August, 2007, this gloriously designed, retro-looking raygun, part of the WETA Originals Rayguns series, is hand crafted out of metal with some glass parts. This piece simply looks like the real thing. The FMOM, as with the other two in the series, is strictly limited to just 500 pieces worldwide. It comes with a handsome velvet-lined pressed tin case, Certificate of Authenticity and an assortment of implements and crafting tools. This is a substantial, museum-quality piece that weighs a minimum of 7 pounds. It would look simply fantastic displayed in a home theater with an overhead light. This is the kind of purchase that you will regret not picking up, simply by virtue of its beauty, its uniqueness, and the fact that these will NOT be seen in the secondary market once they’re gone. And it’s a heirloom-quality work of art that can be handed down to your children; it’s simply that spectacular.
