Silver Screen Edition Boris Karloff from Bride of Frankenstein

Celebrating seventy years since the film's release, Frankenstein's monster rises once again and lumbers forth from the dark depths of the Sideshow Collectibles laboratory. Based on Boris Karloff's version in The Bride of Frankenstein, the "Monster" is painstakingly hand crafted, cast in the highest quality polystone and accurate down to the most intricate of details, from the wrinkles on his massive brow and hands, to the scarring along the side of his face. The figure is painted and costumed in grey-scale, true to his stunning original silver screen presence. He is dressed in a tailored fabric costume, and stands atop a sturdy cobblestone textured base. You absolutely must give this sad, misunderstood creature a home.

I want friend like me."
- Frankenstein

Since Frankenstein's monster first lumbered to life in black and white, audiences have been riveted for another glimpse of his horrific face. Boris Karloff left audiences in awe once again, returning to the character in a stellar performance as the undead, patchwork monster in Bride of Frankenstein, released by Universal Pictures in 1935. Appearing in the film opposite Elsa Lanchester as his bride, the Bride of Frankenstein role further elevated Karloff in the cannon of silver screen icons and in the realm of classic monsters.

Longing for a counterpart in a world full of humans, the lonely monster asks his maker for a companion. The doctor begins his work, assembling body parts once again. This time, his creation is female, and stunning in her completed state, she becomes the monster's beloved bride.

Though the monster's mate and title character, played by Elsa Lanchester, had less than five minutes of screen time, her look was so iconic, and her impact so great, that she instantly became one of classic horror's most recognizable characters.
