This week Sideshow Collectibles notified their United States product distributors, Diamond Distribution and Marz Distribution that effective January 1, 2004, Sideshow will become self-distributed in the United States for most product lines. Diane Kamahele, VP of Sales said, "We have made this decision because we believe that we are the best representatives for our products. We have a Sales Team in place that will be able to handle both our current customers and new clients that would like to purchase directly from Sideshow to stock their stores." Sideshow Collectibles notified their US Distributors in advance of their decision to distribute products directly to retailers, explaining their position in writing. Sideshow has offered to honor their distributors current orders for 2003, so they are able to fill the needs of their customers. This change will not effect how Sideshow does business with the stores that are currently purchasing product directly from Sideshow. "We value our current retail customers and appreciate their support of Sideshow products. We will continue to provide Retailers with the outstanding products and service that they have come to expect from Sideshow," explained Diane Kamahele. "Any retailers that have purchased product from a distributor and are finding it difficult to receive the products they previously ordered should contact Sideshow directly," Kamahele went on to explain.
