Davis-Anderson Merchandising Corp and Sideshow Collectibles are proud to announce production of a line of collectible figures based upon the HIGHLANDER franchise. California based Brainstorm Innovation Group, LLC. is the licensing agent for the deal. The 12" figures will depict popular HIGHLANDER characters from both the film and television series.
The original HIGHLANDER film (1986, 20th Century Fox) starred Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, a Scottish clansman born in 1518, who learns that he is an immortal being who must use his wits, and sword, to battle against other immortals, in an deadly game where the survivor will claim "the prize" and decide the fate of mankind. Tutored in the art of sword fighting by his fellow immortal Ramirez (Sean Connery), Conner finds himself pitted against the evil Kurgan (Clancy Brown), culminating in a final battle in New York City in 1985.
This now cult classic film has led to four HIGHLANDER feature films, Home Videos and DVD's, an animated series, fourteen original books and successful licensed merchandise. The HIGHLANDER franchise also includes the popular HIGHLANDER: The Series (119 one hour episodes over 6 seasons), starring Adrian Paul as Connor's cousin, and fellow immortal, Duncan MacLeod. The HIGHLANDER television series has since lived on in widespread syndication and distribution on VHS and DVD. To enhance the myriad of merchandise available for HIGHLANDER fans, Sideshow Collectibles will produce 12" figures of characters from the HIGHLANDER films and television series.
Collectors can expect the figures to be designed with the same features as many successful 1/6 scale, 12 inch collectible lines previously created by Sideshow Collectibles. The figures will be fully articulated, and easy to pose dynamically for display. Each will have various accessories and fabric clothing that accurately represent depictions of items and attire that the characters wore in the film and on the television series. Sideshow's talented staff of artists will put to use their remarkable talents, and attention to detail, for each and every figure, so that fans of the movies and series will have the most accurate reproductions of their favorite HIGHLANDER characters.

Of the numerous notable characters from the HIGHLANDER franchise, Sideshow Collectibles has announced that they will kick off the line with two of the most popular icons, Connor MacLeod and Duncan MacLeod 12-inch figures.
