The folks at
Power-Con have released a listing of toy manufactures that will be attending the
2023 Power-Con convention which once again will be taking place in
Columbus, OH from August 11-13. For more details on how you can attend,

Power-Con which is run by
Val Staples started out originally as a
Masters of the Universe fan-con, but then last year they made the jump to trying to become a more generalized action figure based convention.
Many of the companies listed as attending this year are small independent toy manufacturers with the names of long-time attendee's such as
The Four Horsemen and
Super7 being there, who of course originally had roots in the world of
Masters of the Universe.
Last year when
Power-Con made the move to becoming a more generalized toy convention, they managed to attract the likes of
NECA Toys who held its first own dedicated company panel revealing a number of new
TMNT products. This year Power-Con seems to have expanded even more by bringing in the likes of
McFarlane Toys who of course has licenses for brands such as
DC Comics, Spawn and more.
Up until now it's taken Entertianment Mega-Conventions like
SDCC and to a lesser extant
NYCC to bring in the major toy manufacturers, so it will be interesting to see if something like
Power-Con which is a smaller independently owned con, can grow large enough and become the ultimate action figure dedicated convention that perhaps one day will entice all the major toy companies to attend like
Hasbro and
Mattel.
