McFarlane Releasing Two New NBA Two-Packs

Two is always better than one and this season's NBA Sports Picks lineup offers three different two-packs for our collectors. Each two-pack comes with a pair of figures and exclusive bases to allow display together or separately.

McFarlane's first two-pack is available right now, featuring reigning MVP Kevin Garnett taking on Ben Wallace, the heart of Detroit's championship team. Both figures are based on their second-edition sculpts, with Garnett wearing Minnesota's black uniform and Wallace sporting the Pistons' home white. The two superstars set up together poised for a mid-air collision -- does K.G. dunk the ball or does Big Ben get the swat?

NBA 2-PACK: KEVIN GARNETT 2 & BEN WALLACE 2



The next two-pack for this season is a blast from the past. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets will square off later this season on a "Hardwood Classics" night, with each team wearing throwback jerseys. This two-pack will feature the second versions of our LeBron James and Tracy McGrady figures, both painted in their "old school" throwback jerseys. This will be the first time McFarlane offered McGrady as a Rocket -- his previous figures showcased him with his old team, the Orlando Magic. The LeBron/T-Mac two-pack will be available in stores in February 2005.

The final two-pack will be coming exclusively to Meijer stores.

McFarlane stated that the Meijer chain is based mainly in the Midwest United States and they asked for a product commemorating the Pistons 2004 Championship. The two-pack will feature Ben and Rasheed Wallace, both wearing their blue Finals jerseys with championship logos on their uniforms and bases. The Ben Wallace figure is their first version of him, but available with the afro-style head on a blue jersey. That combination has never been available before. Rasheed Wallace was part of our NBA 3 lineup as a Portland Trailblazer, but this version updates him to his Detroit uniform and also adds his signature gray patch of hair. The Wallace & Wallace championship two-pack will be in Meijer stores in March 2005.
