This is freaking ridiculous. Checked several times this morning. Nothing each time. Step out to grab lunch and come back to find Red Hood is sold out on both Amazon and MTS. They are going to ruin a good thing in short order at this rate. Only people who will get what they want are people who can live on the internet full time, scalpers, and those with wads of disposable cash to throw at the scalpers.

I hear what you are saying. A lot of demand went down in recent times, so many companies are producing less and distributors are doing less preorders.

She looks incredible!

I'm confused .. is this wave exclusive ? .. anyway I still don't see the value of 30 bucks there .. those are less popular characters with almost no accessories .. darksied figure is popular and mega and have many accessories and only 40 bucks

The higher price is partly because they are less popular. He claims he can't sell enough of them to sell them at a better price point.

In his defense, the suit does look really bad.

I can't argue with that.

The only ones that have even been close to worth their price point (off the top of my head) were Wonder Woman, Firestorm, and Captain Carrot.

Can you get a Platinum from BBTS randomly? I think they separate theirs out and sell them in individual listings (they usually go in like 1 minute).

I would be very, very surprised if someone randomly got a Platinum from them after they started listing them as different items.

McFarlane engages in a lot of parts reuse, like most action figure lines. However, his parts reuse can be nonsensical.

And this is just one of the things that make the "Collector's Edition" stuff not worth it. I can accept the lazy reuse at a $20 price point; for a cheap figure I can understand a cheap approach, but if you want to creep the price up to a higher level, the work has to reflect that as well.

I got my orders in for CK and Ragman right away but I'd likely pre-order at least Clock King at BBTS (if they ever add it) also to increase my chance of getting a Dr Tyme variant.

So, I can't help but wonder if these are actually an Amazon/MTS exclusive? It's very odd that none of BBTS, EE, Gamestop or Target have them on their sites.

The upside is that I know that I want both versions of Clock King and historically I've been more likely to get Platinum variants from Amazon. BBTS is generally my preferred retailer though just because I like their pre-order system and communication more that other places, and I use the heck out of their Pile of Loot feature.

It's a small thing, but if your business is making action figures, it should be a big thing. Ragman's costume still has those silly Jim Lee costume lines on his arms, he has knee armor? instead of knee caps, and some very weird looking boot instead of just a normal leg.

I love this Kubert creation, but I think I'd prefer he be added to Mego's 80th line, like the Demon just was. If ever there was an excuse for a soft goods action figure, it's Ragman. Or one of those old Knickerbocker dolls LOL

McFarlane engages in a lot of parts reuse, like most action figure lines. However, his parts reuse can be nonsensical. I pointed out in another thread, he inexplicably reused Knightfall Catwoman's zip-up chest for Batwoman when he has a ton of Batgirl chests available. So she looks weird if you get in close.
