March 15, 2025
Shown below is a preview for the McFarlane Collector Edition The Grim Knight vs Killer Croc (Dark Multiverse) 2-Pack which we first saw revealed earlier this week during the McFarlane Toys Show. Unfortunately McFarlane is still not giving any specific date for when it will be available or go up for pre-order other than saying soon. It should be available at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. When more details become available we will be sure to let you know.

Well, some of them are good, Batman: Year One for example looks really good, a bit like DC Rebirth Batman, as if it was adapted from it, but it's good. I like this Croc a bit(Really just a bit.) better than the first version, Hawkgirl is pretty good too, Wonder Woman's body but still good. The Cowboy Batman is also quite interesting, built from Jonah Hex but OK. I've been saying for a long time that John Constantine's body should be made into a cool Jim Gordon, and there you go, he could have a lot of accessories (I know, no gun), but for example walkie talkie, nightstick, flashlight, binoculars, expandable baton, cell phone, megaphone, handcuffs, electric shock device (I can imagine him carrying a baseball bat in his car (Gotham is a very dangerous city) but that might be a bit much.) maybe a knife of some kind, but he could also have a hand holding a coffee cup (which he bought from a vending machine), a second version with protective glasses, a shirt with a collar and body armor (like when the police storm a building). Then I woke up:)

Seeing the BATMAN FOREVER Jim Carrey Riddler in his white suit & whacked out hair figure was a little unexpected, although it has been leaked by a number of sources that it might be coming this Spring. I hear it could be a chase figure, which really is a shame. I've been a fan of McFarlane, but this kind of move really is lousy. I do hope we get a BATMAN & ROBIN Uma Thurman Poison Ivy with double bee hive hair do & Bane 2-Pack. That would be nice since I've heard both have been sculpted already by McFarlane. The same for Catwoman & Penguin from BATMAN RETURNS.

Looking at that Riddler and BvS Alfred, I have to say I'm looking forward to Mattel using their True FX tech that they have for the WWE line on their DC product...

The whole thing is an ad, so of course they want you to watch the socials. That's all part of it. They gave general dates and saying very soon means the next 2-3 weeks historically. I've already found a third of the product shown at Toy Fair, so who knows?

Sure, it's an ad, but not for silly socials. I'm already looking at it through one of their social venues, one shouldn't have to get roped into an ouroboros of twitter, youtube and instagram in order to get concrete, useful information. Information is the primary reason I watch things like this, and as they were so thin with it, this will likely mark the first and last time I ever bother to sit through one of these. It certainly wasn't for the dynamic and engaging presentation.

At the end of the day, they've either got the goods or they've got a tease, and personally I have zero interest in the latter. But that's me.

I kind of like the sheen of the paint, but same, already swimming in Batmen and there's nothing particularly remarkable here that makes it stand out amongst them.

That's just it, that's kind of the appeal to me, he feels like the perfect, standard, grey and black, big black bat Bruce Wayne Batman, an improvement on the Hush Batman, who's a bit too big

Yeah, that stood out to me too, watching this. "this will be coming out sometime very soon," "this will be sometime in April," etc. It's like this was a 40 minute ad for us to follow their socials so we'd know when things actually drop.

So many bizarre choices. I can't say that I understand that pairing of Grim Knight and Killer Croc. I don't recall them being paired in any way in the comics. I wonder if that is based upon the Grim Knight's original Earth?

The most we see of Grim Knight's Killer Croc is an offhand mention that he was murdered (along with Penguin, Black Mask and Red Hood) with his pic set up on a police bulletin board. I don't think the thought on paring them was any deeper than "we need to pair this unnecessarily with a megafig so we can charge way more than it's worth since it's such a hot mover on the back market, which of those are Batman related?" and then picking that over Man-Bat, essentially.

Not much here to my interests. While I don't care for the vinyl(?) duster (looks cheap as hell), Cowboy Batman is just goofy enough for me to give it consideration if I come across it, not quite fun enough for me to hunt down if I don't. I would almost say the same for the Riddler, but head looks terrible from what we can see. The glasses on Jeremy Irons Alfred are either ruining a perfectly good headsculpt, or obscuring a bad one, it's difficult to tell so far.

Hawkgirl looks pretty good. I wish she didn't have the goggle eyes, but she's solid otherwise. And I want Supergirl, of course. The rest is just . . . blah. So many Batman figures. I guess if you're going down, go down on the ship that brought you here.
