Interesting that they went with that heavy shading. I get that it fits with Mignola's art style, but I don't know that it works so well on action figures. Ends up looking like the cel-shading you get on McFarlane's BTAS figures which I'm not a fan of. Wonder if they'll offer a 'non-shaded' variant down the road?
Shown below is the new McFarlane Toys Collector Edition Hellboy Platinum Edition Figure is available for pre-order in a case on the McFarlaneToysStore.
McFarlane Toys Hellboy (McFarlane Collector Edition #60) 7" action figure is now available for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com, Entertainment Earth and Nerdzoic! The figure is based on Mike Mignola's iconic Hellboy, published by Dark Horse Comics, and includes a removable soft goods jacket, 4 alternate hands, pistol, art card and display base. Check out the official images below.
Since McFarlane Toys has the rights to Hellboyand this is the Comics Hellboy..maybe they have or can get the Hellboy movie rights as well.I know Mezco did some action figures of Hellboy but McFarlane Toys can do better and with great packaging?

Shhh! We dont need Bbts crashing again! Let em think it will be more $! In the event that it is more money tho this one still looks better in my opinion! (Except the coat of course)
