McFarlane Toys Entertainment Earth Super Powers Figures Coming April 30

April 8, 2026
McFarlane Toys is continuing the DC Super Powers line—now exclusively via our sponsor Entertainment Earth—and they’ve dropped a first tease of what’s coming next.

This marks a major shift for the line, moving away from traditional retail and into a more collector-focused distribution model. Going forward, new releases will be available exclusively through Entertainment Earth, making pre-orders easier but also signaling a more curated approach to the lineup.

The teaser for the first wave doesn’t reveal full details just yet, but it confirms that the Super Powers revival is far from over. The line will continue to embrace the classic Kenner-inspired style, with more figures planned throughout 2026.

While specific characters haven’t been officially announced, the tease suggests the next wave is already in motion—and with the new exclusive partnership, fans are expecting a mix of core heroes and deeper cuts that weren’t as likely in mass retail.

Entertainment Earth on their Pre-Order Drop Zone Page has a McFarlane Toys DC Super Powers pre-order currently listed for April 30th. No word on how many figures may be going up for pre-order that day.

You realize this is McFarlane, right? That's *never* going to happen...?

So these silhouettes weren't an April fools gag?

My understanding was that McFarlane had bought DC Direct itself, hence why he has access to the old molds, etc. Whether he will retain any license rights to be able to continue releasing anything remains to be seen - statues and the like are quite possible since they're likely a separate license to action figures, but that's where we get into the tricky aspect of what will McFarlane still have the license to release. If Mattel do any sort of follow-up to existing lines, I imagine they'd start over from scratch rather than compliment already released stuff, but stranger things have happened. I could see Super Powers being continued since it's a specific form factor and has a very high nostalgia appeal, but if they were to do any DCAU, I expect they'd do the same as McFarlane did back in the early days of McMultiverse with their supposedly BTAS Harley Quinn or Teen Titans Cyborg.

Gotta wonder if Mattel follows up on this line post-McFarlane. This IP, like BTAS/TNBA, Batman '66, & various Batman movies, have a lot of line extensions just waiting to be completed & continues. DC Direct showed a BTAS Talon figure at the New York Comic Con in the Fall of 2019 & McFarlane never made it. Heck, it was just laying there on the ground & it never got picked up.

Does McFarlane get to keep DC Direct & a few of these other IPs? Should be interesting.

The top middle one has me stumped. Looks like Snake Eyes. Do waves generally have themes?

I was thinking a Crime Syndicate wave, but they only had Super-Woman. And if that isn't Granny Goodness, then I don't know.

My guess:

Captain Marvel, Guardian, Eradicator

Supergirl, Clark Kent, Granny Goodness

I could see Granny Goodness there. Crime Syndicate characters would actually tempt me back into buying these things.

I suspect the recent Superman movie on the first two. Blackfire on the last one?
