Supposed to represent Batman #1, but not a hint of blue. I'm glad this is the one they made the red platinum since I have no desire to try to track it down. Was glad to get a color-correct Knightfall Batman, though, even if it has that damn plastic cape.

Adding the blue highlights would require more than one or two paint hits.

People still remember Battlechasers? Was it not some very short lived (if well drawn) dark fantasy thing by Dreamwave comics, that died alongside Transformers and other comics when Pat Lee ran the company into the ground? I always thought the main character was a ripoff of Guts from Berserk, he looked so similar, and half of the second volume was about fighting some big amalgam of corpses that was also straight out of Berserk...

Anyway, the news was about Nighthawk or whoever... who is this guy, he looks like those chinese knockoff figures that merge different characters... in this case, repainting Hawkman into silver and black and giving him Captain America's shield...

Heelllll yeah!! I'm reading my single issues now! Recent issues (sadly without Madureira art were released that kinda wrapped up the story.

As for Dreamwave.....you're talking about Warlands. That had potential and ironically got figs. I did like Shidima and Banished Knights.

Shadowhawk was a "1st Gen" Image hero...he just didn't pop the way Spawn/Savage Dragon, Wildcats, or Youngblood did. He has fans though and his story was interesting...just not 60 dollar fig interesting. If you find trades or comics for a good price...it's not a bad read.

This figure does not seem like it's worth the ELITE$59.99 price tag. Maybe I'm missing something. Love the character and comic it's from though.

Its not. Its basic mcfarlane articulation (which means mid), diaper, and a few extra pieces (standard load out). But hey, these companies know all they have to do is slap some name like "Platinum", "Quantum", "Ultra", "Mega" etc on it and maybe toss in a few hands more than what they normally do, and eloi will show up, money in hand. Cant really be mad with the company, they see an opportunity and they go for it.

Battle Chasers was by Joe Madureira at Wildstorm. It was very short lived at first and very slow to deliver new issues, but the art and certain character designs were interesting. I recently played a roleplaying game on Steam based on it and had fun. So I definitely remember it. I probably still have some of the original issues somewhere.
